A to Z Biryani / Pulao / Khichadi Festival

I am back to the blog finally. It has been three months since I blogged but nothing better to shake off the rust than a mega Blogging Marathon in which we blog for 26 days of the month except Sundays. This time, our theme is Biryanis, pulaos and khichadis with rice or any other grain.

I have to confess I have never made a Biryani in my life before this. I was amazed to find that it is such meditative process. I enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed eating it. So starting tomorrow, I am making a biryani, pulao or khichadi from across the country and some from the rest of the world for each letter of the alphabet. It has been sweet, spicy, exciting, frustrating and a deeply satisfying round of preparations for this theme.

So, put those ovens aside. We can bake bread later. Fire up the stove and get the clay pot / deep pan on to enjoy this sumptuous month of rice!
